What skin advice would you give to a man in his 30’s?

Q.
Dear Peter, I’ve just read your answer to the question – ‘Can you recommend skin treatments for a woman in her 30’s’ and I am wondering if the same advice applies to men in the same age bracket. I am thinking not due to us having tougher skin? and was wondering if it is different what do you recommend for men to try and put off the signs of ageing before Botox. Coming from a man who until recently has not paid any attention to his skin!! and can see sign of wrinkles appearing thanks for your help.
A.
Dear Paul,

Yes, we men do have tougher skin but the same principles will apply. Sunscreen, Vitamin C Serum and a medium Retinol. Not an overnight miracle but over time these will have greatly beneficial effects. Men tend not to be great with use of sunscreen. Those UV rays are damaging your skin 365 days a year – the simplest thing that you could do in your 30’s is use a daily sunscreen. I really rate Glotherapeutics Oil Free SPF 40+ It’s lightweight and not too white or shiny.

Best wishes,
