Are permanent fillers still available to treat Polands Syndrome? I previously had the Bio Alcamid injections to mimic the missing pectoral muscle which proved satisfactory for six years until it migrated into a lump.
This was subsequently removed.
I have no fat for fat transfer and would prefer a permanent filler if one could be recommended.
The injections were given by an extremely competent professor but unfortunately he had no knowledge of the filler and managed to do his best.Since then he has retired and I am unable to ask his help again.
I have also questioned the idea of a silicone implant but have been told that this will not work as the edges can be seen.
Is there another filler other than the Bio Alcamid that could be used or would this filler work better in the hands of an expert in the field?

Permanent fillers are slowly failing out of favour because of the high incidence of problems. I’m not sure that you should discount silicone implants. Pectoral silicone implants have been used to reconstruct Polands Syndrome. Their success depends on your degree of Poland deformity, the careful choice of implant size and doing some research to find a good surgeon. The advantage of a solid silicone implant is that they are usually much better tolerated and long lasting compared with injectable permanent fillers.
