I am a male looking to have dermal filler treatment. Do many men have this treatment? Any advice?

Q.
I’m just enquiring about myself actually, i was a bit embarrassed to go into a clinic . It’s not the most manly thing to have done is it? I just really wanted to know more about it, because a man’s skin is obviously a bit thicker and i have stubble as well, so i didn’t know if it would have any affect. I particularly wanted some kind of dermal filler on my forehead and around my eyes? What type of filler do you usually use for that? Is it quite rare to have a male patient wanting dermal fillers? Thanks Adrian mate!

Hi

Thank you very much for your enquiry.

Generally with men we recommend botox therapy for around the forehead and eyes as this gives a more natural appearance.

The reason for this is the lines in the frown and crows feet area are caused by muscle contraction and the ideal way of treating them is by relaxing the muscle.

Botulinum Toxin is the ideal way to treat this area naturally as dermal fillers in this area can look slightly unnatural.

If you feel you would like to schedule a consultation most doctors are very understanding and it is a very common procedure performed on men.

Good luck if you decided to go ahead with treatment.
