Would dermal fillers be able help my lines and wrinkles?

July 30th, 2013
Q.
I have reached sixty. My skin is far from perfect as I suffered from acne as a teenager. My weight has always been an issue and a yoyo, therefore my skin is a little saggy in places. I was a smoker for forty of those years and have the tell tale mouth and lip lines, some of which are quite deep….all are very unattractive. I have had a lot of happiness in those years, hence my laughter lines and crows feet, but, also more than my fair share of grief and sorrow which have contributed greatly to the deep crying lines between my eyebrows. My question is, have I missed the boat to improve my looks with minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, ie: botox, fillers, lip augmentation etc and would the cost be prohibitive as I would need so much work?

Hello
Thank you for your question. All of the minimally invasive treatments you describe can still be carried out and will give a refreshed look. There are also different solutions to improve the skin, its volume and the lines you have. The best idea would be a consultation and we can review your main concerns, what you are trying to achieve and give you an idea of costs.
Kind regards
Adam

Would fillers work on my naso-labial lines?

November 8th, 2012
Q.
Hi Peter,
I want to have filler in the lines from nose to mouth but I have nerve damage in that area due to an operation on my cheekbone 18 years ago. My cheekbone had to be pushed back into place. I have a permanent area from my lip to nose which feels numb. Can the treatment make this worse? I am 42 years old and feel my face is sagging face is sagging mostly around the cheeks, mouth and jaw areas.Thank you for taking the time to look at my question and I look forward to hearing back from you in the near future. Thanks
A.
Hi There,

Difficult to give a good opinion without seeing your face, but I would say that from the information you’ve given, I wouldn’t think that fillers would make things worse. When considering naso-labial fillers (nose-to-mouth corners) it is important to look at the whole mid-face including the cheeks.

Kind regards,
