What is the best method for correcting post-liposculpture in men?

June 8th, 2012
Q.
What is the best method of correcting post-liposculpture (for gynaecomastia) flesh depression in a man? The breast glands were removed when it would have been better to leave a nub of fat there. There is now a concave depression under each nipple and there also seems to be some adhesion of the skin to the underlying layers in the vacated area.

Hyaluronic fillers seem only to be temporary, and Alloderm doesn’t seem to be available in the UK.

Is there a permanent / semipermanent biological matrix available on the market?

Hi

Thank you very much for your enquiry.

I am afraid that correcting post lipo sculture problems for gynaecomastia is slightly tricky and it maybe that further surgery is appropriate and the best substance to use in my opinion is you own fatty tissue . This is because it is natural and unlike Dermal Fillers, which, in most cases, does not completely asborb.

I think it would be best for you to schedule a meeting with a consultanet who specialises in breast surgery to discuss the best way forward for you,.

Which non surgical treatment for lip enhancement lasts the longest? The past few times I’ve had them done, it seems to wear off quickly?

I was hoping you could tell me which non surgical treatment is the best one for lip enhancement in terms of how long it will last. Is their one particular brand that lasts longer than others or do they all last the same amount of time. I have had my lips done a few times in the past but they tend to wear off quite quickly which was quite frustrating and expensive so i am hoping to have them done this time with something that is safe but also lasts a bit longer than usual. If you could let me know above information and also availability of appointments i would be very interested in coming in and seeing you. Look forward to hearing from you!

Hi, Thank you for your enquiry.

Juvederm and Belatero work in a similar fashion for the lips and I don’t think there is dramatic difference between them

Fat transfer is more likely to be permanent and does require an operation. It has the advanatge of using your own tissue.

Sculptra is different in that it encourages your normal tissue to thicken slightly and is not usually used on the lips but is used in the cheek areas.

Generally, we would reocmmend you come in to see us so we have a good look at your face so we can discuss the best way forward for you.
